Terms and conditions
These terms apply to buying card decks for the party game Kartičky. They are written to be read. If a sentence is not clear to you, write to us instead of guessing.
Who sells Kartičky
Kartičky is run, and its decks are sold, by David Konečný, a sole trader under the Czech Trade Licensing Act, entered in the Czech Trade Register, with his seat at Palackého třída 80/7, 612 00 Brno, Czech Republic, ID No. (IČO) 17212316. The seller is not a VAT payer.
Contact: info@hrajkarticky.cz, phone +420 774 158 774. We answer in Czech and in English.
Who Kartičky is for
Kartičky is a game for adults. Decks may be bought only by people aged 18 or over with full legal capacity. Decks marked "18+" contain questions and dares with sexual content (no photos or videos). By sending an order you confirm that you are at least 18.
Account
You can play without an account, with the free decks. You need an account to buy a deck and to have the decks you bought on another device. You sign in with Google, or by email: we send you a link and a six-digit code. One email address is one account.
Your account is yours and cannot be passed on to anyone else. Whoever can read your email can get into your account, so keep it safe. You can delete your account at any time on the Account page. The decks you bought belong to the account, so deleting it ends your access to them, and they are not refunded. What is kept after an account is deleted is described in the privacy policy.
What you buy
A deck is a set of cards (questions, dares and bonuses) for the game Kartičky. Each deck shows its name, a description, the number of cards, sample cards, its price and, where it applies, an "18+" label. A bundle is several decks together at a reduced price. A bonus deck is played only with its base deck, so it can be bought only to go with it.
Buying a deck gives you a non-exclusive right, unlimited in time, to play it in the game Kartičky for yourself and the people you play with. You may not pass the cards on, sell them or publish them. We may correct and improve the wording of cards (typos, clarity), but a deck never loses what you paid for.
The game runs in a current web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on a phone or a computer, and can be added to the home screen as an app. Signing in, buying and the first download of a deck need an internet connection; once downloaded, a deck plays without one. Decks have no technical protection beyond signing in to the account.
Prices
Prices are shown with each deck and bundle in Czech crowns (CZK) and are final. The seller is not a VAT payer, so no tax is added. Nothing more is charged for delivery or for the payment. A bundle's price leaves out the decks you already own, and a bundle never costs less than 1 CZK.
You always pay the price shown on the order button. If the price changes between opening the offer and sending the order, the order is not sent and we show you the new price.
How to order, and when the contract is made
- In the game or on the home page, you tap a locked deck or a bundle. An offer opens with the description, sample cards and the price.
- If you are not signed in, you sign in. The offer then opens again.
- You tick the box "I want the deck made available right after payment, that is before the 14-day withdrawal period ends, and I acknowledge that I thereby lose my right to withdraw from the contract." The order cannot be sent without it (the section on withdrawal explains why).
- You check what you are buying and the price. Until you send the order you can correct it: close the offer, choose another deck or bundle, or sign in with another account.
- You send the order with the button showing the price, for example "Order and pay 59 CZK". By sending it you agree to these terms.
- You pay right in the offer, or on Comgate's payment page. You can cancel the payment; an unpaid order lapses and nothing is charged.
The contract is concluded once the payment goes through. The deck unlocks at once and we send you an order confirmation by email.
You make the contract in Czech or in English, depending on which version of the site you buy from. We keep the contract: the order is stored in your account (on the Account page, with its invoice), and the confirmation we email you holds the order summary, the consent you ticked and these terms as a PDF. We are not bound by any code of conduct.
Payment
Payments are handled by the Comgate payment gateway, run by Comgate, a.s.. You can pay by card (VISA, Mastercard), with Apple Pay or Google Pay, and on Comgate's payment page also with a bank's payment button. You enter card details only with Comgate, and they never reach us. The details are on the Payment and delivery page. The invoice for your payment is on the Account page.
Delivery
Decks are delivered electronically: a deck unlocks in your account as soon as Comgate confirms the payment, usually within seconds, and stays there. You play it in the game on every device where you sign in. Nothing is sent by post.
Withdrawal from the contract
You make the contract at a distance, so as a consumer you could withdraw from it without giving a reason within 14 days of making it. For digital content such as card decks, however, under Section 1837(l) of the Czech Civil Code this does not apply when the content is delivered before that period ends with your prior express consent, with your acknowledgement that you thereby lose the right to withdraw, and when we confirm the contract and that consent to you.
That is why the order has a required box: "I want the deck made available right after payment, that is before the 14-day withdrawal period ends, and I acknowledge that I thereby lose my right to withdraw from the contract." The deck unlocks right after payment, and the confirmation with this consent reaches you by email. Once the deck has unlocked, the right to withdraw from the contract ends.
If the deck did not unlock after payment, or you did not receive the confirmation, you keep the right to withdraw: within 14 days of the contract, write to info@hrajkarticky.cz from your account's address, or send the form below, filled in. The deadline is met if you send the withdrawal before it ends. We return the money within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal, by the same means you paid, at no charge. The deck is then removed from your account.

Defects and complaints
A deck must match its description and must play in the game Kartičky. If it does not (the deck does not unlock after payment, cannot be downloaded, cards are missing or do not match the description), write to info@hrajkarticky.cz and tell us what is happening. We confirm the complaint by email, settle it without undue delay, within 30 days at the latest from when you made it, and tell you how we settled it.
You have the right to have the defect fixed. If that is not possible, does not happen within a reasonable time, or the defect is serious, you have the right to a reasonable discount, or you can withdraw from the contract and get your money back. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer. Use the same address for any other complaint.
Out-of-court dispute resolution
If we cannot agree and you are a consumer, you can turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Praha 2, which settles consumer disputes out of court. Applications are made at https://adr.coi.cz. It is free and does not take away your right to go to court. Consumer protection is supervised by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz), trade licensing by the competent trade licensing office.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when the game, the law or the way we sell Kartičky changes. A new version applies to orders sent from the day it takes effect. Your order is governed by the version you sent it under: we store it with every order, and every version is available as a PDF.
Governing law
The contract and these terms are governed by Czech law. If you are a consumer living in another country of the European Union, nothing in them takes away the protection the law of your country gives you.
